What do an infant in India and a college student in North Carolina have in common? Both of their live can be forever changed by the programs of the Rotary Foundation. November is Rotary Foundation Month, a month to celebrate and learn more about the Rotary Foundation of Rotary International.
The Rotary Foundation of Rotary International was founded in 1928 with the mission of enabling Rotarians to advance world understanding, goodwill and peace through the improvement of health, the support of education, and the alleviation of poverty. This mission is fulfilled through programs such as PolioPlus, Ambassadorial Scholarships, Group Study Exchange and Humanitarian grants.
Don’t miss the opportunity to celebrate the Rotary Foundation as we gather with Rotarians from across District 7690 at High Point Country Club on Thursday, November 12 for our District Foundation Banquet. At our weekly meeting on November 18, Joe Kelly will tell us about his experiences as a Group Study Exchange team leader. Our club’s support of the Rotary Foundation allows us to touch lives and make a difference throughout the world.
