Thanks to her efforts and the club's support, this was a very successful project and we were able to obtain support from the district in the form of a simplified grant. Jake Cashion really took charge with our desire to increase our Paul Harris fellows. The goal is to restore our club to a true 100% Paul Harris club. We were there at a point in time, and we want to get back. There is no better way to show our commitment to supporting the many international projects. These are just a few examples of our club: ordinary people, doing extraordinary things! |

The Kernersville Rotary Club achieved Gold Club for 2006-2007! We are one of four clubs in the District who has achieved this award every year since its inception! As we are winding up this successful year, we continue to Lead the Way. Although the Spring Folly was plagued with poor weather, our members reigned! We had a great time, being serenaded by the bands and enjoying the people who stopped by to chat and eat good ole funnel cakes. We tried hawking our wares, with little success. It was hard to rustle up the crowds. We added $800 to the coffers, to help with local school assistance including scholarships and international projects. Tom Martin really excelled in his leadership of this project! Jason Grubbs has volunteered to be the commando for our AnySoldier.com project. More details to follow. This is a new project for our club and one we hope to maintain. David Jones is in the throes of organizing the Golf Tournament - pledges are rolling in. Pam
Ray was featured in the Pakistan Rotary District magazine on the FRONT
PAGE! Pictures of the project which Pam coordinated are included in the
magazine. |
