PRESIDENT's
COLUMN March is an interesting month. The days can very warm, with temperatures in the 80s or they can be very cold. Some of the area's biggest snowfalls have come during the month of March. You can definitely tell that change is on the way. Rotary is no different. I am slowly winding down a very exciting and busy year, while Mike Shaw is just gearing up for his year as President. Just as the seasons do, Rotary clubs have new seeds that begin to sprout this time of year. The Rotary seeds that are sprouting are individuals who are being asked to take on w new role with their club. Each year the Rotary president must find those seeds that he can plant and will grow into a leader to assist him or her in their club. I encourage each and every one of you to take a look at the role that you are doing in the club at the present time (everybody has a role, even if it is just as a club member). Ask yourself, can you do more and what you would like to do? If you have a passion or interest that you have and think that we can use it in some way in the club, please do not hesitate to step up and talk to your club leaders. Barbara Fulp is a perfect example. She brought her passion for cycling to the board with the idea for a bicycle event. In less than a year, it looks like we have an incredible new fundraiser for the club. So let's hear your idea or voice. If you are new to the club and would like to be more active, I have only one word for you - ASK! Yours
in Rotary,
