PRESIDENT's COLUMN

During the month of March would be a good time for us to reflect on how well we have met our goals for the year. We started the year with a formal list of some sixty criteria that district leadership had listed for indicators of a club's performance. In our club we do most of these tasks every year as a matter of tradition and habit.

Ranking among the best of the clubs in our district has always been the way of The Rotary Club of Kernersville. Not that we do these projects for recognition but merely as a calling - we do what is right. No matter the points we accumulate for awards but what we accomplish for our community and the world. We are a club of service and opportunities continue to arise where we Kernersville Rotarians demonstrate what "service above self" really means. A formal list of criteria is a good thing for district recognition.

For Kernersville Rotarians lists are unnecessary.

Our club has once again met our goals.

Van Sherrill
