This year’s Rotary International Theme will be “Make Dreams Real”. I would like to unofficially expand this to “Working Together, We Will Make Dreams Real”.
Our Club has always been a Club of enthusiastic members that take part and work together to make our town, community and our world a better place. Whether we pass around the “Sign-up Sheet” or “The Hat”, our Club members always “Step Up”…..I love you guys for that…. Service Above Self truly remains the mantra of this Club and I hope you all feel the same.
As we begin a new Rotary year, I will ask each of you to reflect on why you are a Rotarian…..To reflect on your own personal Rotary participation. Our non Rotary work schedules will be hectic and challenging, in 2008-2009…. Our personal time commitments will be numerous. Please remember our theme….please remember why you became a Rotarian…..and please help me make the 2008-2009 Rotary year, another year that we will truly “Make Dreams Real”.
I hope to see all of you at our Awards Night Dinner, on the 27th of June, at the Piedmont Club.
