PRESIDENT's COLUMN

Welcome to a new Rotary year!  I hope you were each able to join us for our club’s 22nd annual Awards Night Program Friday evening at Bridger Field House at BB&T Field. What a great way to kick off a new Rotary year!  A special thanks to Deb Mitchell for all of her hard work in putting together a great evening.

As I attempted to express Friday night, I can’t begin to tell you how honored and how incredibly humbled I am to have the privilege of leading the Rotary Club of Kernersville this year.  I have some mighty big shoes to fill this year, left to me by our now Past-President, Mike Shaw.

Mike’s leadership this past year helped our club rise to new heights.  I’m excited about the possibilities this year holds, and I look forward to working with each of you to help our club continue to meet the standards of excellence we have set for our organization.

To help us do so, we can look to the leadership of an outstanding group of officers and directors who were installed Friday evening.  Feel free to contact any of us with suggestions, concerns, etc. throughout this year.

We have much hard work to do.  There are young people to mentor and Polio to cure, and that’s just the tip of the iceberg.  As Rotary International President John Kenny has declared “The Future of Rotary is in Your Hands.”  We start the year of with a bang with two big events on Saturday:  The Fourth of July 5K Race, and the Fourth of July Parade.  See you there!

Sincerely,

Jason Grubbs
