PRESIDENT's COLUMN

Busy times!! Exciting times!! Welcome to February and a very interesting month for our Club. The month of February is officially classified as “World Understanding Month” in Rotary….and we will be approaching this from both a local as well as an International standpoint.

We are in the middle of an early membership drive….One that will give all of us an opportunity to talk about Rotary and provide prospective new members, with a better understanding of all the good things that Rotary stands for. As we invite our guests to attend our “Open House” on the 18th of this month, we will really be able give them an up close and more personal glimpse of the Rotary Club of Kernersville…They will be impressed….Additionally, Pam has worked hard to get our Pakistan matching grant approved, so that our Girl’s School will get a fresh understanding of Rotary’s generosity, as we help make their school environment more conducive for their learning.

Congratulations to all of you for the milestone that we will pass this month….”Triple Crown Club”. Only a few of the Clubs in the world have achieved this incredible distinction. Please mark your calendars for the evening of February 20th, at the “Factory”. We will have a special presentation by District Governor Charles Allen along with a surprise announcement by our own mayor, Dawn Morgan….This will be an extraordinary evening that you and your “significant other” cannot miss…..

Yours in Rotary,

Mike
