BIG NEWS in January ….. our very own Van Sherrill was elected Assistant District Governor, the second to be elected from Kernersville Rotary club. To attain that level of leadership in Rotary is an honor and is testimony to Van's character and strong leadership skills. Best wishes, Van, for a rewarding year of Service above Self.
Jim Wilhelm volunteered to clean up our Rotary room. Many thanks for stepping forward. Others are taking leadership roles, and readying for their terms as President and President Elect. Mike Shaw and Brian Stewart will attend PETS in March.
We have been awarded the 100% Paul Harris Fellow Club and the 100% Sustaining Paul Harris Fellow Club for the year 2005-2006. Our Fireside Chat was waylaid by the inclement weather in January, but will resume in February. Please plan to join us, along with your significant other for dinner and some words of wisdom by Arnold King at Panera's. Although we are in the "grey" days of winter, Kernersville Rotary remains committed to the ideals of Rotary.
