PRESIDENT's COLUMN

August is Membership and Extension Month for our District and our Club. During this month, we will have presentations from our Membership Chairs, Darrell Walker and Jack Kerr.

Our Club has been, through your excellent efforts, very successful, over the past four years, in recruiting a wonderful group of new members. In fact, since June 30, 2004, our Club’s membership has increased by twenty-six members, or 57%!

We are a vibrant and growing Club of active and retired business professionals engaged in making a difference in this community and the world through a commitment to service above self.

As we move further into our Rotary year, I would like to ask all of you to make a concerted effort, to consider the many current non-Rotary professionals that you feel, could make even more of a community contribution, by becoming a Rotarian.

Rotary’s outstanding accomplishments only happen at the Club level. You continue to demonstrate this, year in and year out. By continuing to recruit energetic and motivated new members to our Club, there will be no limits to the reach and success of our service.

We will continue to employ a very successful formula for attracting and building our membership…. Excellent meeting facility, good food, good programs, lots of fun and fellowship, meaningful service projects, an outstanding reputation within District 7690 and most importantly…. The recognition in the Kernersville community as the premiere service organization in town.

I thank all of you for what you do every day, to make this Club, the success that it is and the success that it will be!
