April is recognized as Magazine Month in Rotary. Every member of the Kernersville Rotary Club receives a copy of The Rotarian magazine monthly. Some of you may glance at the front cover and then toss it on one of the many piles of mail you have laying around. Others may sit down with thumb through the pages, stopping when something appealing catches your attention. A few may sit down and read four or five stories that sounded interesting, then glance through the rest of the magazine. Then you may find a place to keep it safe so that you can go back and reference it later.
The April edition of The Rotarian has a story on the high tech solutions that Rotary clubs around the world use technology to communicate with each other. Our club uses many of these technologies daily. There is also an article on how Rotary clubs are assisting to keep blood safe in African countries. Another article outlines how Rotary is raising $100 million in response to Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation grant challenge.
I encourage each one of you to sit down and take a closer look at your Rotarian magazine each month.
